Body

The Soloist body of this model has a deep double cutaway shape which enables the player to reach the higher registers of the neck. The body has been constructed from basswood, ensuring a solid and comfortable feel. One of the most prominent features of this Jackson guitar is its zebra wood body top, adding an exotic visual aesthetic.

Neck-Through-Body Build

You can be sure to receive augmented sustain and intonation as a result of the guitar's neck-through-body construction. The neck is made from maple for a smooth feel in the hand and features graphite reinforcement for added stability. The maple speed neck is designed to make it even easier to play faster riffs and solos.

Topping the neck is a dark rosewood fingerboard which features 24 jumbo frets to explore. The fingerboard is compound with a radius that goes from 12 to 16 inches; this is an innovative design that allows the fingerboard to flatten towards the heel despite feeling more rounded by the string nut. The frets feature striking pearloid sharkfin inlays to guide you.

Seymour Duncan Humbuckers

The X Series Soloist SLX Zebra Wood is equipped with a pair of Duncan-designed humbucking pickups. In the neck position is an alnico HB-103N humbucker pickup, joined by a high-output ceramic HB-103B pickup in the bridge. Whether you want clean tones, or to play with heavy distortion, this pickup pairing is versatile enough to achieve the tones you require.

Tweaking your sound is made simple thanks to Master Volume and Tone controls along with a 3-way blade switch.

Hardware and Finish

A distinctive feature of the SLX model is the Floyd Rose special double locking 2-point tremolo bridge with whammy bar to perform intense vibrato. The guitar also has the traditional Jackson six-in-line headstock with reliable sealed die-cast tuning machines.
